Bologna, 29th September_3rd October 2009 | Hall 26 | Stand A188_B189
Cersaie 2009 is the opportunity for FMG Fabbrica Marmi e Graniti to introduce new ceramic materials specially created to continue the establishment of a quality dialogue with the architect in the ideal setting of a new stand, which provides the most immediate visual explanation of the manufactured natural stones constructed by FMG and has been designed to act as an asterisk, symbolically marking the current situation with regard to a present and a future just waiting to be conquered, capable of giving us glimpses of a new age in the world of materials for architecture.
In keeping with its corporate mission as a NATURAL STONE BUILDER, FMG will be exhibiting types of marble that represent a major step forward in the factory-construction of natural stones: Giallo Siena and Rosso Alicante, choice marbles, as exclusive as the brand’s product development process, archetypes which have been extremely difficult to reproduce, even with the aid of FMG’s unique, groundbreaking technology. This year the in-house laboratory has succeeded in creating these slabs, with the beauty of genuine works of art, with a quality of appearance and technical features that is the first, inimitable characteristic of every FMG material. With this quality guarantee, the company will be presenting a total of 8 new manufactured stones: 3 marbles (Bardiglio Imperiale Scuro, Giallo Siena and Rosso Alicante), 2 travertines (Travertino Chiaro and Travertino Romano Classico) and 3 stones (Parana Beige, Parana Black and Parana Taupe), accompanied by a vast assortment of mosaics, distinctive decorative pieces and special items – including the washbasin counter, shower base, etc. - designed to measure and developed by the in-house design department.
From the strictly technical point of view, one major FMG exclusive will be the presentation of the world’s only thin, polished, through-body coloured slab, LighThin: in a thickness of 5.8 mm this material provides all the gloss of a surface (Shine, another of the brand’s world exclusives) that will place at the service of architecture a through-body coloured covering that is both lightweight and glossy.
Last but not least, we close this brief preview with the most significant innovation, of vital importance for the future of our industry: Iris Ceramica S.p.A. will be presenting a technology that is destined to revolutionise the approach to ceramics, from both the ethical and the social points of view, since it marks a fundamental stage in the drive to make materials “actively and effectively” sustainable, now the main aim of the research work undertaken by the two brands, in both commercial and financial terms: ACTIVE, FOR A BETTER LIFE. Just waiting to be discovered at the FMG Fabbrica Marmi e Graniti stand at Cersaie 2009.
